OnePlus 16 leaks suggest 200MP zoom camera, 9,000mAh battery and thinner bezels
Early leaks around the upcoming OnePlus 16 suggest the brand may finally be preparing a bigger camera push for its next flagship. Recent chatter linked to tipster Smart Pikachu and echoed in a OnePlus Community thread points to a major telephoto upgrade, while other reports also hint at changes in design, battery and performance. None of these details are official yet, so they should still be seen as early expectations rather than confirmed specifications.
The biggest talking point so far is the camera. The OnePlus 16 is being tipped to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, with reports suggesting it could use Samsung’s HP5 sensor. If that turns out to be true, it would mark a notable step up from the telephoto hardware seen on the previous model. Some reports also suggest the phone could use a triple rear camera setup with additional 50MP sensors for the main and ultra-wide cameras.
Apart from the camera, the OnePlus 16 is also expected to bring a more refined design. Leaks claim the phone may arrive with ultra-thin front bezels measuring under 1mm, which could give it a more premium and polished look. Fast charging is also expected, though exact charging speeds have not been confirmed through these leaks.
As for launch timing, reports currently suggest that the OnePlus 16 could debut first in China around October 2026, followed by a wider rollout later. That timeline has not been confirmed by OnePlus, but it matches the broader direction of current leak activity.
