Redmi 15A 5G launches in India with 6300mAh battery: price, release date, and important features

Xiaomi has increased its cheap 5G lineup in India with the release of the Redmi 15A 5G. The new smartphone prioritises battery life, screen size, and software support. It runs on a UNISOC T8300 5G CPU and adds features related to AI tools and system-level integration.

The Redmi 15A 5G starts at Rs. 12,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, Rs. 14,499 for 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and Rs. 16,499 for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The handset will be available in three colours: Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black.

The Redmi 15A 5G will go on sale on April 3. Interested shoppers can buy it from Xiaomi's official website, Flipkart, and select retail outlets.

The Redmi 15A 5G has a 6.9-inch HD+ display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen can produce up to 800 nits of peak brightness. It holds TÜV certifications for preventing eye strain during continuous use. Xiaomi has also implemented Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which allows the screen to respond to input even when fingertips are slightly wet.

The device is powered by a UNISOC T8300 5G chipset. It is equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can use a microSD card to boost storage up to 2TB, giving them more options for storing huge files on their devices.

For photography, the Redmi 15A 5G has a 32MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The phone has a 6,300mAh battery that Xiaomi claims would last up to two days on a single charge. It offers 15W charging and also has reverse charging capabilities, allowing users to charge other gadgets.

Furthermore, the smartphone runs HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16. Xiaomi has promised four years of Android updates and six years of security patches. The phone has AI-powered capabilities like Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity.

Additionally, the tablet includes stereo speakers with up to 200 percent loudness output, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4. The device has an IP52 rating for dust and water protection.
